Once you have completed the adoption process and have been approved to adopt a bird, completion of the adoption contract will be required upon delivery of the bird you’ve chosen to add to your family.

 

The following list of terms and conditions must be agreed to by the adopter(s):

I understand that a parrot can live over 50 years in captivity.


I am willing to research additional information to enrich the bird(s) life in captivity.

I will not attempt to release this(these) bird(s) to the wild.

I understand that this(these) bird(s) will require fresh food, water & interaction daily.

I understand that this(these) bird(s) is(are) NOT to be used for breeding.

I understand this(these) bird(s) cannot be used for display or for entertainment purposes, unless given special permission from the rescue.

I will under no circumstances ever sell or give this(these) bird(s) to any third party, nor shall I allow this(these) bird(s) to become breeders. These requirements shall remain in effect for the life of the adopted bird(s).

Should this(these) bird(s) die in my care I will provide Wings of Love Parrot Rescue Center of the Bluegrass, Inc. with autopsy results.

Should the bird(s) be stolen I will provide a copy of the police report within 48 hours to the Wings of Love Parrot Rescue Center of the Bluegrass. Inc..

I agree to allow a Wings of Love Parrot Rescue Center of the Bluegrass, Inc. representative visit my home by appointment to check on the adopted bird or birds.
